Previously produced version of # 120: Lies and Loves.

Cameraman's mistake: In the Tuscany Downs Turf Club, a missing part of the set's ceiling can be noticed on the upper right corner of the frame when Terry comes to Richard's table.

Mistake: For the first scene in this episode in the Falcon Crest Victorian Mansion, the establishing shot was not chosen carefully since the camera zooms on the dining room while the following scene with Lance, Emma and Chao-Li is staged in the living room. The editors were negligent in post-production.

When Gilmore, Chase and Richard leave the Falcon Crest Victorian Mansion, they are filmed from the veranda stepping down to the driveway — with the veranda railing to be seen. The bushes and trees along the driveway, however, look different from the ones at Spring Mountain; especially, the palm trees are missing. Considering it is after mid-season, a time when location filming in the Wine Country usually did not take place anymore, this is an exterior set. A few parts of the Mansion set on stage 10 at CBS-MTM STUDIOS (now RADFORD STUDIO CENTER) — the veranda pillars and banisters — were moved to Will Rogers State Park in Pacific Palisades to shoot this scene.

Cameraman's mistake: In the scene on the driveway in front of the Falcon Crest Victorian Mansion, the boom microphone can be seen in the upper right corner of the screen.

Mistake: When Terry walks towards Jordan's apartment door to leave, Jordan's back is turned to Terry. In the subsequent frame, however, Jordan has turned towards the door already, and she is holding the photos differently in contrast to the preceding frame.
This is a mistake caused by the particular close-up filming technique — check # 001 (Chase and Maggie at the Gioberti Family Cemetery) for details.

Maggie stays at the Bonaventure Hotel in L.A. (again — also see # 085). This is obvious due to the establishing shot even though the name of the hotel is not mentioned explicitly.

Early script drafts planned for Jeff to tell Maggie that his mother was murdered (instead of Sarah Baker, his alleged fiancée). The writers had a different sordid perversion in mind for Jeff, his own mother having been the victim. These plans were changed in later script revisions.

Deleted scene: The original act 2 opener was a scene in which Eric descends the stairs in the Falcon Crest Victorian Mansion in the morning, joining Lance in the living room, who is reading the latest New Globe edition with a scandalous cover story about Angela's disappearance, headlined "What Is Peter Stavros Hiding?". Eric asks if he can borrow Lance's Porsche because his Ferrari is being held up in customs on its way to the U.S. from Europe. Removing this scene in post-production led to losing the explanation why Eric drives Lance's Porsche in the following scene.

The filming location for the scene with Melissa on her horse and Eric in Lance's Porsche 911 Carrera at the Tuscany Equestrian Center is Will Rogers State Park in Pacific Palisades. Compare # 090 for a previous use of this location.
Original plans suggested Griffith Park as the filming location for this scene.

The identification code of the patrol car, a Plymouth Gran Fury, at the Tuscany Equestrian Center is 5693 — it is the same car seen in # 098 (Sheriff Robbins). Earlier in the current episode, Gilmore also used this vehicle when he came to Falcon Crest, trying to find and arrest Angela.

The director's cut of this episode contained the following scenes in act 2, which were deleted:
  • In the study at the Agretti Residence, Cole is reading the "Mother Goose" fairytale with Joseph during a visit. When Melissa enters, she suggests joint custody for Joseph to Cole, who is surprised.
  • In Richard's New Globe office, he and Chase are discussing whose grapes they can buy instead of the Agretti crop. Jordan is late for the meeting because of Terry's visit at her apartment in the scene before.
  • Richard and Jordan are suspicious to see Peter Stavros at the Tuscany Downs Turf Club, glancing around like a prospective buyer. Peter, however, just smiles and tells them he has always been a fan of race tracks and that he finds this one particularly pleasant.

Mistake: For the night scene with Chase and Cole discussing Cole and Melissa's joint custody agreement about Joseph, an old establishing shot of the Gioberti House is reused; it features Chase's 1981 GMC High Sierra on the driveway although he replaced it with the same yet facelifted model after season 2. For the differences in the models, see the entry in # 054 about a similar error. A wrong clip (shot during season 2 and first used in # 020) was selected in post-production.

Mistake: In the scene with Maggie and Jeff at the Bonaventure Hotel, the position of Maggie's left hand is different in subsequent frames.
This is a mistake caused by the particular close-up filming technique — check # 001 (Chase and Maggie at the Gioberti Family Cemetery) for details.

Music: Although the show hardly ever uses contemporary music not specifically written for it, the scene with Melissa and Eric at the nightclub features BRYAN ADAMS' 1985 song "Heaven".

DAVID GUST, the tall, black-haired and mustached uncredited extra, who is best known for his rôle as an assistant district attorney (# 091, 092 and 154), but who also plays different characters in the series, is a patron at the San Francisco nightclub where Melissa and Eric are in this episode.
Compare # 187 for a list of appearances throughout the series.
For details about the extra, compare # 063.

Sal Serafino, a Tuscany Valley vintner with one of the best harvest, is mentioned. That character, however, will never appear nor will he be mentioned ever again.

Mistake: Richard dials the phone number first with his left hand, but in the close-up with his right hand.
This is a mistake caused by the particular close-up filming technique — check # 001 (Chase and Maggie at the Gioberti Family Cemetery) for details.

Mistake: During the conversation between Richard and Jordan in his New Globe office, Richard's and Jordan's angles change through the scene. This becomes apparent at the end of the segment: Richard is first seen standing partially turned towards Jordan with the window behind him. When the scene cuts to Jordan in her close-ups, the bar and the side door to Richard's private elevator are behind her. When he moves just one step closer to her and the angle changes from his close-up to the long shot, he is suddenly standing sideways to the window, and Jordan is now facing the letter tray on the desk.
This is a mistake caused by the particular close-up filming technique — check # 001 (Chase and Maggie at the Gioberti Family Cemetery) for details.

Season time frame: Jordan says she started to work for Richard six months ago (in # 099). This is a continuity error in the story editing process. Jordan started to work for Richard in # 099, i.e. the beginning of March 1985. If her statement in the current episode were correct, it would be the beginning of September 1985 now, which is obviously wrong — giving respect to the season time frame as stated here.

Fictional entity: Larry mentions that he and Monica (Jordan) met at Rusty's Tavern in San Francisco.

Uncredited extra NICK STEVENS appears in this episode again as Reuben Corsair — this time as a patron at the San Francisco restaurant where Jordan (Monica) is recognized by Larry.
Compare # 182 for biographical information about this minor rôle and a list of appearances throughout the series.
For details about the extra, compare # 008.

In the final scene with Peter and Greg in the Falcon Crest Victorian Mansion study, the original picture negative of a close-up of Peter is damaged, resulting in a blur on the film.
