Tentative title: Storm Warning

Dwayne calls his 1984 Freightliner Classic FLC 120 64 T truck Ursula. Its ICC (Interstate Commerce Commission) number is 139807.

Different footage in the sneak preview and the scene itself: When Emma reacts ecstatic on the Falcon Crest Victorian Mansion veranda after Dwayne has left, the scene itself is featured in a far shot while that very moment was shown in a close-up of Emma in the sneak preview.

Cameraman's / editing mistake:
In the shot of Richard's New Globe office from behind Jordan, the exterior wall behind the filing cabinet is missing. The set has movable walls to accommodate any production requirements.
In the frontal shot, the wall is back in its place. This is a mistake caused by the particular close-up filming technique — check # 001 (Chase and Maggie at the Gioberti Family Cemetery) for details.

The scene with Apollonia and Lance discussing the upcoming changes of the radio station at his KRDC office included KRDC program director Bill Taylor in early script drafts. This character was omitted before the casting process.

Real-life allusion: Lance mentions BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN.

The scene with Chris and Bob in the chapel is filmed in the real St. Helena Catholic Church; compare # 101 and, in particular, # 108 for more information.

The filming location for the phone booth (a prop) where Dwayne makes his phone call to Falcon Crest is the parking lot in front of what used to be Zebedee's Gourmet Burgers (nowadays Press St. Helena) in St. Helena, CA.

Mistake: When Chao-Li tells Angela he does not like hurting Emma (in regards to keeping Dwayne's attempts to reach her a secret from her), Angela's head is looking straight at him in the frame filmed from behind her shoulder. In the subsequent frame filmed from across, her head is slightly tilted down though.
This is a mistake caused by the particular close-up filming technique — check # 001 (Chase and Maggie at the Gioberti Family Cemetery) for details.

Chase's office is now in the Gioberti Estate Guest House (see # 043 for the filming location). This will become apparent only in # 117 when the establishing clip is inserted before an interior office scene.
Inconsistency: The window's dimensions do not resemble the architecture of the exteriors; neither do the skylights. For this interior set, the old window elements from the bedroom of Richard's house on Hilltop Road were reused (compare the screen capture from # 069).

The desk in Chase's office at the Gioberti Estate Guest House is the same prop that was used both in Dr. Monroe Mitchell's practice in # 065 and in Herb Boutilier's office in Washington, D.C. in # 074 (compare there).

Despite LORIMAR's "new wardrobe for new season" policy, this episode, Melissa wears a dress she already wore in season 4 (# 097).
The filming location for the scene in downtown Tuscany is a parking lot on Washington Street in Yountville, CA. The baby clothes store used to be a shop named Cocoons and is nowadays the Petit Logis Inn. The pavilion and clock tower (to be seen behind Melissa) are no longer there; a restaurant is there now.

The filming location for the Cooperage Club, the Tuscany Valley restaurant where Richard and Cass have lunch, is the former St. George Restaurant (later Tra Vigne, nowadays The Charter Oak) in St. Helena, CA in real life.
Also see # 108 and 128 for this filming site.
The season 5 bible originally called the Cooperage Club the Wine Growers Club.

The big tattoos on LORENZO LAMAS' right shoulder and upper right part of his back were covered with beige shoe polish again. The skin on these parts, however, appears slightly darker than the rest of his body this time. Also see # 047.

Uncredited extra KATHRYN JANSSEN appears as the gray-haired lady from the Tuscany Valley again - this time at the Tuscany Downs Turf Club.
Compare # 227 for a list of appearances throughout the series.
For details about the extra, compare # 021.

DAVID GUST, the tall, black-haired and mustached uncredited extra, who is best known for his rôle as an assistant district attorney (# 091, 092 and 154), but who also plays different characters in the series, takes part in the celebration to introduce Terry as Richard's new partner in Tuscany Downs this episode.
Compare # 187 for a list of appearances throughout the series.
For details about the extra, compare # 063.

Mistake: When Richard hands the flowers to Terry at the Turf Club, the wide angle shot shows his right hand at his cane; in the following frame, however, he holds the bunch of flowers in both of his hands.
This is a mistake caused by the particular close-up filming technique — check # 001 (Chase and Maggie at the Gioberti Family Cemetery) for details.

An additional continuity error concerns the audio: When the aforementioned frame switches from the far shot to the close-up, Richard's line, "Well, it's the thought that counts," can be heard although DAVID SELBY's lips are not moving in the close-up. The sound was carried over from the earlier far shot, but the editors were apparently oblivious to the fact that the close-up had been filmed without that line.

The shot of Lance near the Falcon Crest Guest House in this season's main title (right screen capture) is from an unused version of the scene in this episode (compare the left screen grab for the version used this episode).

The view of the Tuscany Valley (directly before Angela and Peter's picnic) is from Calistoga Grade, a section of Highway 29 near Calistoga, CA, the camera facing southeast. This establishing shot will be reused in # 138.

The filming location for Angela and Peter's picnic is a vineyard south of Stags' Leap Manor (the Gioberti House) in the Napa Valley.

Product placement: Dwayne mentions cartoon hero Superman.

Product placement: Terry and Costello have Perrier-Jouët Champagne (Fleur de Champagne) during their meeting at the Turf Club.

Mistake: When John Costello is talking to Terry at the bar in the Turf Club, he is looking at an angle over the bar with his body almost facing the bar in the far shot. Terry is leaning on the bar with her left elbow. In the subsequent shot from behind Terry, however, Costello is now turned away from the bar in a 90-degree angle, and his head is no longer tilted downward, but looking straight at her. Terry is no longer leaning on the bar now.
Again, this is the typical mistake caused by the particular close-up filming technique — check # 001 (Chase and Maggie at the Gioberti Family Cemetery) for details.

The shot of Terry in the Tuscany Downs Turf Club in this season's main title (right screen capture) is from an unused version of the scene in this episode (compare the left screen grab for the wide angle version — filmed from a different angle — used this episode).

This scene was originally staged at Costello's County Building office. Due to budgetary reasons, the producers decided to use the existing Turf Club set though.

Rico's — the candy and ice cream store where the patrol car is parked to tap Terry and Costello's conversation at the Turf Club — is the northern terrace of the CBS-MTM (RADFORD STUDIO CENTER) Administration Building. Compare # 074 for the frequent use of this place.
LORIMAR's original map of this part of the studio lot is available for DFCF members in the Show – Production Office – Filming Locations – Movie Studios – Exterior Sets section.

The unmarked surveillance vehicle of the Tuscany Valley Sheriff's Department is a beige 1980 Ford Econoline van.
