This episode's intro is the helicopter flight over Falcon Crest from an earlier position (before the street and the reservoir are visible). This aerial view was shot during the Napa Valley filming of season 3 specifically for its main title. Parts of it have been used in various episodes since then. The longest coherent segment from this helicopter flight has been in use since season 4 towards the end of the main titles.

Mistake in the aerial view of the Falcon Crest Victorian Mansion: The opening shot of the episode does not feature any persons (yellow arrow) while the subsequent scene shows lots of reporters at the front entrance.

Fictional entity: KRFJ is the name of the TV station producing a news editorial about Lance's conviction in front of the Falcon Crest Victorian Mansion.
The channel identification starting with the letter "K" indicates that the station is west of the Mississippi. Just as a side note, channel identifications east of the Mississippi begin with the letter "W" in the U.S.

Mistake: In the scene in Cass' office at the Wilder Agency, Bradford first grabs her upper arms with his hands in the long shot; Cass' head is slightly tilted upward. After the cut, his hands on her arms are nowhere to be seen though, and her head is level now. The close-up is apparently from a different take.
In the usual process of making a movie or a TV show, scenes are shot at least twice — as a wide angle shot and in close-up, which bears the risk of inconsistencies. Compare # 001 (Chase and Maggie at the Gioberti Family Cemetery) for the advantages and disadvantages of this shooting procedure.

Falcon Crest currently produces 20 million gallons of wine and champagne.

The filming location for the path on the Agretti grounds where Melissa and Robin go for a walk is actually located near the lagoon at the CBS-MTM STUDIOS (now RADFORD STUDIO CENTER).

The unnamed Tuscany Valley restaurant in the scene with Lance, Lorraine and Richard is the Brentwood Inn in Los Angeles in real life.

Uncredited extra SHARRI ZAK appears as the gray-haired Tuscany Valley socialite with the pony tail again; this episode as a patron at the aforementioned restaurant.
Compare # 202 for biographical details about this rôle and a list of appearances throughout the series.
For details about the extra, compare # 009.

Uncredited extra PAUL VAN appears in his usual rôle as the mustached Tuscany Valley doctor again — this time in the restaurant scene with Lance, Lorraine and Richard.
Compare # 227 for biographical details about PAUL VAN's primary minor rôle and a list of all his appearances throughout the series.
For details about the extra, compare # 014.

Uncredited extra WALTER M. SPEAR appears as the bald and bearded Tuscany Valley gentleman again — this time at the Tuscany Valley restaurant where Lance and Lorraine are having dinner.
Compare # 148 for a list of appearances throughout the series.
For details about the extra, compare # 048.

Music score: Composer ROGER BELLON uses SHIRLEY WALKER's "Melissa & Cole" score (compare # 076) in the scene with Melissa and Cole at the Falcon Crest Winery Building after Robin's departure.

The establishing shot of Chinatown in San Francisco is stock footage from a film library. It features California Street at the intersection with Grant Avenue (towards north) with the distinct Sing Chong Building at the corner where the Chinatown Wax Museum was housed in these days.

Although Chase and Connie's work place in the Falcon Crest Winery Building is a different lab from the one Julia used to work in, the same stained glass window is in there. The window was reused for the new interior set to save production costs of course.

License plate number of the patrol car with Deputy Duffy and his colleague following Angela: 908529. It is the same 1982 Dodge Diplomat as in # 082.

The Tuscany Valley road (scene with Angela's car followed by the police) is actually the entrance to Will Rogers State Park in Pacific Palisades, CA.

Mistake: The scene begins with a close-up of Angela in which the white fence can be seen in the background, i.e. she has already passed that curve. In the following wide angle frame, however, she is seen driving along that very same bend again. The shots are from different takes on the same section of the road combined in the editing process.

Lance reads the ficitonal magazine "Martial Art" in his hideout in Chinatown in San Francisco.
Inside joke: The magazine cover actually boasts a photo of LORENZO himself in karate outfits at the beach.

Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills is used as the psychiatric clinic Cass and Damon's mother is in (room number 207). The building is only filmed for an establishing exterior shot.
Original script drafts spoke of the character as Elizabeth Rossini; her name, however, was later changed to Anna. Compare # 090 for another tentative name for Anna. Original drafts of the script for the current episode had the right side of Anna's face badly scarred by the fire Cass has been dreaming of so often.
